ACCURATE is a software tool for quantitative analysis of (mainly) whole body PET/CT studies. The tool is developed by Ronald Boellaard (VU medical center / UMC Groningen) with input and co-development from Maqsood Yaqub (VUMC) and Floris van Velden (VUMC/LUMC). The tool is provided as a research tool only and should not be used for clinical purposes. Use of the tool is free of charge but only after consulting the primary author of the tool. The tool is continuously under development and new functionality will be added.

Analyses consists of quantification of volumes of interest (VOIs). There are different methods to obtain these VOIs:
Manually – VOIs can be manually delineated by painting voxel per voxel
Fixed size VOIs – A 2D or 3D VOI with a fixed size and shape can be placed
Semi-automated –By selecting the hottest voxel as an initial starting point, a VOI will be generated automatically using a region growing algorithm. Different thresholds are available (absolute SUV thresholds, relative SUV thresholds based on SUV peak or max, with or without background correction).
The ACCURATE tool may also be used for Metabolic Tumor Volume (MTV) analyses, where the tool already makes a preselection of the total tumor burden.
For non-commercial scientific research usage only.
